The sooner you know your HIV status, the sooner you can get treatment if you need it. Most people get a negative result, but whatever happens, it’s important to know that there are prevention options like PrEP (ask your GP for more information). Testing is free, fast and confidential – and you can get tested at your GP, at your local sexual health clinic or by ordering a test online.

Designed for primary care staff working in Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark, the training focuses on increasing confidence, knowledge, and cultural competence around HIV prevention, testing, and care, with an emphasis on reducing stigma and improving patient experience in everyday healthcare settings.

The Walworth Road Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic, run by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT), will be temporarily closed from 3 January 2026. During this period, a range of local sexual and reproductive health services will remain available to you, including face-to-face appointments and online support, ensuring you can continue to access the care you need.
