HIV Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) is a medication that can be taken within 72 hours of having sex. It reduces the chance of getting HIV after condomless sex, sexual assault, or another situation where HIV transmission may have occurred.

PrEP in our Community helps people learn about and access PrEP, a medicine that prevents HIV, through trusted primary care services, like at your GP surgery, making it easier to get support locally.

We want to make sure people have healthy and fulfilling sexual relationships and good sexual and reproductive health. Building on our achievements in the past five years, the strategy prioritises access, prevention, and inclusion to improve population health outcomes.
